Ultrasonic Liposuction

There are two forms of Ultrasonic liposuction - Internal uses a vibrating cannula (the instrument the surgeon moves inside the skin to remove fat). The surgeon makes a small incision and inserts the cannula. The cannula vibrates and breaks up fat cells which are vacuumed out of the patients body.
There are certain problems associated with internal ultrasonic liposuction and they are mostly related to the cannula. The first and second generation cannula could cause skin damage and because of the ultrasonic vibrations, cannula have been know to break and leave pieces in patients that had to be removed surgically. Also because of the ultrasonic vibrations, the cannula can overheat and damage skin tissue and nerve damage.
